Restaurant menu

Sometimes we advocate for design “restraint” — sometimes, well, not.

When Papa’s Soul Food Kitchen grew from a young man’s dream as a food cart into a full-fledged restaurant, Figoli Quinn & Associates was asked to design a brand that would put their new place on the map. Inspired by Southern butcher shop window displays and signage, the menu has become a classic. Yes, it breaks all sorts of design “rules.” (Please don’t try this at home, unless you really know what you are doing.)

After Papa’s death in 2009, his family carried on the restaurant for a few years until closing for good in 2017. It’ll be missed. And we will always fondly remember this project.
